Soul Journaling Class with Sarah Whitmire

I've been taking an inspiring and absorbing online art class called Soul Journaling Advanced Techniques with Sarah Whitmire. We've been altering photographs and journals, adding pages, cutting windows, doodling, and so many other things I just love to do and I'm just having a blast with it.

I had no idea what the subject of my journal would be. I was just going with this activity until an idea found me, and then I found myself inspired by the pictures to reflect back - as I have so many times over these months - on our journey to Italy earlier this year.

Though the pictures I altered for this journal weren't from that trip, I found Italy in them anyway. I see Italy in so many things now. I found a part of me in the homeland of my grandparents, and I've forever left a part of myself behind.

wow! This is absolutely beautiful work, Teri! The detail is exquisite...really and truly. It's simply marvelous any way you look at it....

(I much prefer looking at this to get a sense of Italy than I do reading something like Under the Tuscan Sun, too.)

Brava, my friend.

Hi Teri,

Your pages are wonderful. I've been wanting to go to Italy and your pages are stirring that desire again.

I also wanted to let you know that I have a Best Blog award for you on my blog. Come by and check it out.

These pages are gorgeous! I'm just not remotely artistically gifted. I can write until my fingers feel numb, but making things look pretty like that... soo not my forte! But I love seeing what other people can do!

Terri, This so cool, the pages are really wonderful!
Yes, once you go to your 'roots' it feels as if you left something behind.. for sure!
This displays that feeling very well! Hugs, Darlene

Love how you used the same great colors throughout the pages. Isn't it exciting when the theme just comes to you?!
