GPP Street Team Challenge 44-In a Scrape
The challenge was to use paint and nothing but a credit card to apply. No brushes, sponges, etc. I often use a CC for some layers but finish with a brush, so it was interesting to see how much I could do with just one tool. Using stencils or masks was optional, so I used an animal skin stencil from Artist Cellar (I also love their metallic Byzantia paints). This could be a background, but in my case I was seeing it as a cave and temple of worship. It's called Houses of the Holy. (yes yes, I was a child of the Led Zeppelin era.)

Teri - love the title! Great colors and textures here. Bravo for restraining yourself and only using the scraping tool. That little bit of pattern makes you take a second look. Thanks for sharing with the team!

Nice! That splash of light color makes me think of a waterfall....and the bottom of the painting looks reflective to me...just like a waterfall in a cave. I really like paintings that I can look at over and over again and always see something new. magical. And just a credit card? Fun!

What an interesting challenge - I am like you - have used a credit card for backgrounds and then used brushes. I love the textures and colors in this piece. Very interesting! Love it.
way cool -- this reminds me of a waterfall too, with sunlight reflecting off the falling water.

Teri, This is stunning. I would make lots of color copies of it --- quick run to the local copy shop. This would be fun to use again and again in other journal and out of the journal projects.
