Here are the December's scavenger hunt items for our Freeing your Wings group. If you'd like to play along, your inspiration can take any form: art journal, photograph, painting, mixed media, poetry, prose, sculpture - whatever creative endeavor you like. The only rule is that it should include all six of these items: a pine cone, a star, a snowflake, a bird, a Christmas tree and an ornament.
Please post a link to your blog in the comments section so we know to visit you -- and I'll tell the ladies at FYW about it as well. Most of them are from England or Australia and don't have blogs, but they do enjoy visiting others.
One group member has already chosen to interpret this month's challenge with a poem:
He came from the stars,
fluttering like a snowflake, shimmering in opulescent Light.
His journey to this planet was sacred,
and He knew that the Magi had noticed His arrival.
His star had shone brighter this night.
A beautiful bird, a white Dove dropped her feathers
to inform the world.
His life here on Earth would be celebrated for millennia,
They would erect trees in his name, Christmas Trees.
They would adorn them with silver pine cones and ornaments of
red and gold, to remember He brought the Light.
He would leave a legacy of Love.
