I belong to a group called Freeing your Wings on ning that has a monthly scavenger hunt, with words that you must use in some way -- either poetry, prose, art, song, etc. The words this month were scarlet, peacock, weeping, burden, ecstasy. Usually I interpret the challenge with art, but these words clearly called for prose - so I did both.
