I feel ridiculous substituting Splenda for sugar in my cappuccino when I'm having a big piece of chocolate cake for dessert. Who am I kidding with that? (Yet, I still do it.)
I wish I had a script writer for my everyday life. I'd love to always say the right thing at the right time in the right way, like Julianna Margulies.
And speaking of that, I'm trying to eliminate very, really, and awesome in my writing. Since I started going back to edit for them, I've realize how very, really often I use them.
Now that Downton Abbey is over, I'll have to get a new hobby. Perhaps fox hunting.

Sorry to see that sweet Dewey is feeling blue. What an adorable shot. I know what you mean about those words that keep sneaking in..over and over again. I have quite a few too...
Fox hunting...in Manhattan..keep me posted on that one. :)
Best wishes for a fab (one of 'those' words) weekend Teri!
Jeanne xx
PS... I have been thinking on the book you mentioned relating to the Taj Mahal...when you get a moment, could you send me the name of it? Thank you!
Teri-I adore this stream of thoughts blog--
The doggy is really, very, awe some!
yes sorry DA is over, probably until late fall. Have finally seen all 18(!) episodes of the Grand. Loved every one and found they worked like magic for helping me sleep soundly.
Awww Poor pup. Hope he gets to feeling better.
I love Downton Abbey. So well done. I can not wait for season three. I have heard it is going to be really good.
LOL I use the word awesome at least 57 times a day. It's awesome you are joining us in the bookmaking workshop! :) I'm sorry about Dewey. I know how it feels worrying about a sick fur baby all too well.
Hope Dewey is now much better!
Juliana might come by that naturally, I suspect. Her dad thought up the alka-seltzer plop plop fizz fizz jingle. he's one of the advertising creative hall of famers, so with a daughter in advertising i love those kind of factoids. those folk are never at a loss for the perfect word. lol xoxo
I have a fox in my neighborhood. He likes to hang in the driveway around three in the morning. I have seen him twice. Neighbors have spotted him too, and he loves my trash cans.
Oh for that scriptwriter...I am the queen of saying whatever pops into this mouth and mind of mine. I am refreshingly honest, but sometimes, I scare myself. Maybe we could split the cost? ;-)
Awesome that you have eliminated very and whatever, etc from your writing. When you hang around young people, awesome becomes a staple in your vocab.
Poor Dewey. Love his name. Is he named after the Decimal system or the failed presidential candidate?
Downtown Abbey...I think I must see what all the buzz is about. Sounds great.
Well, we know who makes Dewey feel better.
How is Dewey now? I hope he's ok!!
Mmmm, chocolate cake and coffee (hehe at the sweetener though!) Hope Dewey's feeling better, and I am very impressed that you've really cut down on your awesome vocab choices, although it did highlight my own! Really and very also feature, along with 'pretty' used in the same context and fab rather than awesome! Ah well!
