Distressed image Alfred Stevens

I've been playing around with distressing photos in Photoshop.  I found a great little tutorial here:  http://www.promotinggroup.com/design-tips/distressed-effect-photoshop/

Here is my first effort.  The image is a painting by Alfred Stevens. I uploaded it original size, so you can grab it for yourself, a freebie from me to you.  I'll be doing more of this distressing. So much fun!

Hi Teri the effect on this painting is fascinating and I really loved the distressed and worn effect it gives.
Thanks for sharing this!

Anything in photo shop is very time consuming.

This looks really good Teri - I agree with Monica above, I don't often have enough patience for photoshop!

So interesting and what a lot of fun you could have with this technique.

Beautiful distressed image! Thanks for sharing the tutorial! I definitely will use it myself! Sometimes just fooling around in that program can give me an idea for a new painting or project!
